What Apple didn't tell you at the eventiPhone 18 supports wallpapers that actually move.

Ninety minutes on the cameras. Not ten seconds on the screen you unlock ninety times a day. Every iPhone since the 13 can already play a moving lock screen — Apple just never made it easy to find one worth setting.

2Live is 1,200+ of them. 4K, rendered for the exact panel, free to start.

Not an Apple announcement — a joke about one. Live Photo lock screens have shipped since iOS 16. 2Live is an independent app and is not affiliated with Apple Inc.

A 2Live watercolor on Apple's first foldable: the 5.4-inch cover screen (1398×2034) and the 7.6-inch inner display (1878×2670), folded and unfolded. The same library is rendered at the iPhone 18 Pro's exact 1206×2622 and fills the 18 Pro Max's 1320×2868 edge to edge — free to start on iOS 27.

Wallpapers for the phones announced this week

Straight off Apple's tech-specs pages — every number below is the real one, including the two on the Duo that are unlike any iPhone before it.

The one that changes the maths

iPhone Duo unfolds to 1878×2670

Every iPhone before it took the same tall rectangle. The Duo's 7.6" inner panel is ≈12.8:9 — far squarer — and the 5.4" cover screen is 1398×2034. A wallpaper cut for an 18 Pro has to be scaled to the Duo's width on either one, which trims about a third off the top and bottom — so the size you need is genuinely new.

Straight answers

Did Apple announce live wallpapers at the event?

No — and this page isn't claiming they did. Live Photo lock screens have shipped on iPhone since iOS 16; Apple has simply never given them stage time. The joke is the silence, not a feature.

Will 2Live wallpapers fit the iPhone 18?

The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, exactly — and the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max you may already own. Every 2Live wallpaper is rendered at 1206×2622, the exact panel the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro use and the iPhone 18 Pro keeps, and the 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max's 1320×2868 is the same shape. The foldable iPhone Duo is the exception: its screens are far squarer (1878×2670 inside, 1398×2034 on the cover), so today's art trims the top and bottom there. Apple did not announce a non-Pro iPhone 18.

Do I need a new iPhone for this?

No. Every iPhone since the iPhone 13 can play a moving lock screen, and 2Live works on all of them — plus Galaxy, Pixel and the rest of Android.

Is it free?

The app is free on the App Store and Google Play, with a rotating free selection and daily credit refills. The full 4K live catalog unlocks with credits or premium.
