The best iPhone wallpapers of 2026
The best iPhone wallpapers in 2026 do more than look good in a preview — they work with the lock screen: a clear subject that pops in front of the clock (depth effect), true blacks that flatter OLED, and motion that stays smooth at 120Hz. Every pick below is an original 4K artwork from the 2Live catalog, free to download, with the live (animated) version available in the app.
We curate over 1,200 original wallpapers across 17 collections and refresh a personalized For You feed weekly — these are the styles our users set the most this year.
New this autumn: the iPhone 18 Pro's lock screen is 1206×2622 — the exact size every 2Live wallpaper is rendered at — and the 18 Pro Max shows the same art at 1320×2868. The compact clock in iOS 27 frees the top of the screen, so a tall subject can sit higher than it could on iOS 26.

Najczęściej zadawane pytania
What are the best iPhone wallpapers in 2026?
In 2026 the most popular iPhone wallpapers are depth-effect portraits (animals, characters, deities) that pop in front of the lock-screen clock, true-black AMOLED designs that save battery on OLED, and subtle 4K live wallpapers like aurora and deep-space scenes. All of the picks on this page are free in the 2Live app.
How do I get free 4K wallpapers for iPhone?
Download 2Live free on the App Store — it has 1,200+ original 4K wallpapers across 17 collections, a weekly personalized feed, and lets you turn any video into a Live Photo wallpaper on-device.
What is a depth effect wallpaper?
A depth-effect wallpaper has a clear foreground subject that iOS lifts in front of the lock-screen clock, creating a 3D layered look. It works on iOS 16 and later; wallpapers need open headroom above the subject to trigger it reliably.
Do live wallpapers drain iPhone battery?
Barely — Live Photo wallpapers only animate when you press the lock screen, so a live wallpaper costs almost no battery in daily use. True-black AMOLED wallpapers can actually extend battery life on OLED iPhones.
What are the best wallpapers for iPhone 17 and 17 Pro Max?
The iPhone 17 line has OLED and ProMotion up to 120Hz, so true-black AMOLED, depth-effect portraits and smooth 4K live wallpapers look best. A 4K portrait source (around 1206×2622) stays sharp on the 6.9-inch Pro Max — all free in 2Live.
What are the best wallpapers for the iPhone 18 Pro?
The iPhone 18 Pro's screen is 1206×2622, the exact size every 2Live wallpaper is rendered at, so nothing is scaled or cropped. Depth-effect portraits and true-black AMOLED art suit it best, and the compact clock in iOS 27 leaves more headroom for a tall subject. The 18 Pro Max takes the same art at 1320×2868.
Do these wallpapers fit the foldable iPhone Duo?
Only partly. The iPhone Duo's inner screen is 1878×2670 and its cover screen 1398×2034 — both far squarer than a normal iPhone — so a 1206×2622 wallpaper scales to the width and loses about a third of the picture off the top and bottom. Pick art with the subject near the middle, or wait for a set composed for the Duo.
